The Bride of Johnny McAllister seems to be written as a young adult novel, instead of romance for adults. It's not the lack of sex that gives this book that feel, although even the kissing lacks passion. The relationship itself has no sizzle or feeling. It seems they get together more out of a lack of choice then because of any real feelings between the two main characters. Since I've always been a fan of Lori Copeland books, I was disappointed that the story didn't show her usual sense of humor and warmth.
